Friday... Week one Done and Over with.. whew!

This was my first week back to work. I survived. hehe.. It rocked. Was the last thing that i needed to do since being back from Iraq to complete the wholeness of being home. Work looks to be exciting as i'll be implementing alot of new things. Cant wait! I spent the summer with my lil man, Cheo and my angel Munyeka. My two kids. Boobie thanks for talking me into staying home with them this summer. I did things in the 20+ years that i lived in NJ that i took for granite living here and never visited. Plus spent good quality time with the family. Also had an addition to my family as my Brother gave birth to a healthy boy. AWESOME a future member to Fantasy Football Leagues and outtings to sporting events. Even better we gots to get a controller in his hand, f0-sh0!! a future XboxLive Gamer.

That leads me to a conversation i was havin with Gisel, as we were watching a show and Munyeka had Cheo's gameboy. She's 2 and was just playin away. I was like yeah we'll out number mommy 3-1 if she becomes a gamer like me and Cheo. G wasnt having it. lmao. Early on when we were dating i used to use this excuse after playing all nite and she'd wake up at 7am and be like Your still playing? my response used to be Hey I could be running the streets and chilling at a bar, but NO i'm home right! Welp i tried to re-emphasize that with justifying me getting Munyeka into gaming with... it'll be better than her running the streets and boys right! She looked at my like i'll beat the shit out of you if you ever use that excuse again. lmao..

K, back to the Show. I was watching a new show called Threshold. Sorry peeps i know i was supposed to game with a few of you tonite and jumped on madd late.

About the Show:
THRESHOLD is a suspenseful drama about a team of experts who are assembled when the U.S. Navy makes a chilling discovery: an extra terrestrial craft has landed in the mid-Atlantic ocean. Dr. Molly Anne Caffrey (Carla Gugino) is a government contingency analyst whose job is to devise response plans for worst-case scenarios. In a single instant, her life changes when one of those plans--THRESHOLD--is activated by Deputy National Security Advisor J.T. Baylock (Charles S. Dutton). Armed only with her hypothetical strategy to address the appearance of aliens on earth, Caffrey now finds herself thrust in the midst of a global crisis. She hand-picks a team of eclectic specialists to prepare for first contact: Dr. Nigel Fenway (Brent Spiner), a disillusioned NASA microbiologist; Lucas Pegg (Rob Benedict), a brilliant but neurotic physicist; Arthur Ramsey (Peter Dinklage), an expert in languages and mathematics; and Cavennaugh (Brian Van Holt), a highly trained covert operative with a mysterious past. Together, they decipher the intention of the craft, the fate of the ship's crew and begin preparations for the possibility of a crisis situation--an alien invasion. Taken from cbs.com.

It was a good show. Reminded me of the movie "Species", where they grab all these different scientists and doctors together to track/figure out what or why this has happend. It looks to be a great show, but it sux that it happens to come on, on Friday nites @ 9pm. either i wont be home most of the time or it'll cut into my Live gaming hours. Got to get TiVo or set up my AverMedia that can record TV shows onto my computer. Not a good review writer to go into great detail aboout the show. The ending of the 2 hour show was wicked and i look forward to next weeks episode. Plus i have to look up the fall lineups. There are a few shows i want to watch. Alias Season 5, dayum i need to watch 4 first. There is also Invasion and a few other i cant think of off the top of my head. Welp its gaming time. want to get some Live in before i head to bed. thanks for cruising thru. Love, peace and hair grease!

Air Support
FOB Duke, Iraq

Sunsets were amazing at times in Iraq. In the distance you can see our air support, a Marine Cobra chopper, and CH46s Sea Knights awaiting the call to go out. This picture was taken by Snow Man last September in 2004 while my platoon was supporting 1st Cav and 2-10 Marines out of FOB Duke and Iraqi forces fighting along side with American soldiers in An Najaf.

Behind the Wire
Al Taqqadum, Iraq due to OPSEC i cant disclose full location of this pic. Iraq had some awesome Sunsets and Sunrises. Picture was captured by one of my soldiers Short Round last fall. I remember looking thru that razor wire wondering what my friends and family were doing back in the states or what lies ahead of me on my next convoy once i crossed that fence line.

Back to work Biatch!

Today i went back to work. 60+ days after returning from Iraq i finally feel like life is back fully in order. It was great to be home lounging and LAZY , but i needed to get back to work to get the full effect of now being a Civillian. It was new and exciting as my office moved from one location to another. Altho farther in distance, it's faster to get to the new building. ALL highway driving. OUTSTANDING!!!! Was great to see new and old co-workers and get an awesome welcoming by them. Got some kick ass new toys, New Laptop DELL D600, new DELL Optiplex GX280 with Flat Panel Monitor, and a whole slew of Servers i get to set up and Deploy later this month. Dont remember the specs off hand, but will get them tommorrow and post here. Its exciting as i'm going back to a real busy IS dept and look to get right back in the swing of things. It was good to hear co-workers state, Man it seems like you were never gone, as i jumped right back into the swing of things and was all about shop talk..

Ahh i almost forgot, my lil man started school as well. He is in the 3rd grade SAWeet! This will be my first school year that I'll be home in its entirety. Cant wait to do Parent-Teacher confrences, Join the PTA ( just kidding), see school plays, heck even chaperone a school dance. The finer things one misses while abroad. That was a big reaso for me getting out and just being a civillian. I loved what i did and was great at what i did, but i felt i was missing out on my kids growing up and wanted to be a part of it.

Tomorrow is day 2, and i actually look forward to it. Hehe in a months time i'll be cursing work and wishing i was back on m y couch and staying up late gamig on Xbox Live...
