Wholy Fuck! that is my common saying besides AWESOME! wholy fuCk is much suited as i'm done week 2 of coming back to work. This will be the last update of my return to work. it'll start to get boring. My contirbution to my work week and my div was this line of code:

Expr1: "w" & Format(DatePart("ww",[Date]),"00")

Amazing huh! Besides the usual Hell Desk calls and random trips around the floor and getting stopped and asked ID10T error questions that line of code made 1 dept in my Divions month. The director wanted me to re-do this report frm a monthly crosstab, to a weekly crosstab. We have since i was gone my Director brought on board all these consultants to do all these conversions from SQL foxpro/access and god knows what other DBIII design to .Net apps. I was going to help and do these conversions before i was deployed. I'm really good at database mgmt and design, but rather do Networking. Well after my last deployment (not this one Sept of 2002) i was pushed in to the networking part of the Dept. AWESOME!!!

K, back to WHOLY FUCK! i love that response to Detarded people or questions. let me define DeTard: one who is dummer than a retard. Tracking! No, k one more time then. DeTard: one who is dummer than a retard. Good lets move on. Welp while on a call for another issue ( ID10T error ) i was asked about a solution to this particular problem. I was like i have to see if there was a request in the Help Desk or job order for the consultants. That was my excuse not to have anything to deal with database crap. I tended to the immediate problem, then headed back to my desk. I wanted to just finnish listening to a new CD i downloaded last nite DJ_Ideal_Lil_Flip-Da_Bottom_Vol._6, ( relax i have full intientions to buy it at a very later date.. :) ) and browse the net. I need ideas for new grafix for this site/blog. Looking ot revamp this puppy over the weekend. Curiosity got to me so i looked in the Logs of calls/jobs and seen that the request was still open. WOW!!!

Tangent:
( i forgot WOW was a saying derived back in the days of
Iraq
) has two meanings, can be nice ways of saying WHOLY
FUCK
and you FUCKEN DETARD in the work enviornment
or that i'm astonished or elated at a particular thing. like them $.50
cent words
? hehe..

Flash Back Friday: In Iraq.. Detard.. Fuck Stick and Wholy Fuck werent hidden in the work enviornment, they were used openly.

It was still open. I asked my boss can i clear some of these tickets off Help Desk database? sure knock yourself out. OUTSTANDING! snuk a peek at the database, ( he said snuck!, Wild Turkey heh! ) then asked them over paid Detarded consultants about the crosstab query that needed to be re-done.

Oh its going to take lines of code in VB and a new form/report to be designed to get exactly what they want,
the Detard states. WOW came out, but wanted to say Wholy Fuck!!! Launch the database and lets take a look. Were looking at the cross tab query in design view. K, seems like what he said is so, but lets sneak a peek at it in SQL. I love but hate it at the same time (SQL). ahhh, thats it just change this line:

PIVOT Format([Date],"mmm") In ("Jan","Feb","Mar","Apr","May","Jun","Jul","Aug","Sep","Oct","Nov","Dec");

to

<code>Expr1: "w" & Format(DatePart("ww",[Date]),"00")

So instead of it reading, Jan.. FEB.. MAR... in the column heading it will read w01.. w02.. w03 instead. ahh, that worked states the DeTard. No shit, i said to myself. Not saying i'm a genious or anything, but i HATE databases and SQL so much that i can do it in my sleep. The moral to this Blog and my Ramp is Now that i'm back give me a raise, and get rid of these good for nothing consultants. I'm good at eating up time and money, dont need others sharing the wealth.

I leave you with a quick problem to solve:

1
11
21
1211
111221

whats the next line in the sequence?

Only thing I Miss about Iraq ..

Well, there are others ;) but this i'll address now as gas prices are killing me atm. Was great to pull into the bag farm or retail and roll back out without having to reach in my wallet. This had to be ages ago as well, cause when i got back this past june it was over $2 a gallon allready. Can't remember when this pic was taken either. This morn i noticed gas was back down to $2.56 a gallon. still high, but a good relief from past weeks.

I'm into week 2 of work. This past weekend was very tiring. I did Nothing and was exhausted all weekend. I'm up and rockin at the moment tho. I guess its from actually having to stick to a schedule last week and not catching my naps thru the day last week. Its good to be back to work tho. My cousin shakes called and found my digi-cam i thought i lost in florida. I'll have pics to post of the florida state vs. miami game, Noles rocked snapping a 6 game losing streak. DA-Z i started running again. did 3 miles this am. I kept my training going upon getting back from Iraq for a bit but then i fell off. Welp i started back up. It was easy cause my job has a gym and i can go during my lunch. DA-Z - while in Iraq would run the loop once a week which was a 12 mile course around our whole base. I did it NOT once. :D i wanted to before i left, but didnt have that super motivation D, had. So now when i'm home and get the drive to add running to my workouts i think of DA-z's miles he pounded in Iraq. Gettng back to working out is an added drive. This time it'll be for me as i won't have to do it for the military and which makes one stay in shape. Welp my day is almost done. I have to check how i did in Fantasy Football this weekend. I played ScaryAaron and i probs got stomped. last week i went 1-4 in my leagues. ant wait to see how i faired this weekend. DAYUM, barrel is smoking and i'm fresh outta ammo.. Wild Turkey ACE report to follow... BLACK, GREEN, GREEN. W30 OUT!

Wild Turkey's you Get One of These Today?

Here is a picture of me setting up my Tracking system in my vehicle prior to a mission. This was last winter when we used to make 15+ hour fuel runs from my base in TQ (Al Taquddum) headed south. For those who think Iraq is allways hot and you won't spend a winter there, you are highly mistaken. It would get as low as 15-17 degrees. Heck one mission we saw flurries coming down. I thought i was seeing things, but nope it snowed in Iraq. HELL DONE FROZE OVER! hehe.. In the early phases of our mission we would could run missions at different times of the day. By this stage we were running strickly at nite. We would run into less traffic and there fore prevent the more than often warning shots on vehicles on our routes.

Here i am all bundled up. Like my goggles? On this particluar mission ( *TAMPA MARATHON , **RANGER CURSE and ***BAHGDAD 500 ) i was the convoys acting Assistant convoy commander. It was a first platoon mission, but the majority of the personell were from my platoon 2nd Platoon. The actual ACC wasn't in a command type vehicle; since i had mine i took on the responsibility plus to make sure my troops were taken care of. Also this was my second mission after coming back off leave. We took a very long route up thru central Iraq bringing us south of Bahgdad, and then heading out west to Falluja and then our base TQ. Welp we didnt have permission to travel in 1IDs area and we would've been detained. This was also a week or two after we pounded the heck out of Falluja taking it back. This made the trip longer as we had to stop at check points every 1-2 miles. Way more than usual. It also for the first time allowed me to see the northeast outskirts of Falluja during the day. We traveled that way a few times before but it was allways at nite and you couldnt see to much off the highway. That was very close IMO. Prior to my unit going over to Iraq civilian contractors ran fuel on this route suffering heavy casualties which led them to stop doing this mission. So my unit was activated to run the fuel in this area. Luckily tho, before heading up to this area my platoon was down in An Najaf. We found another route way safer, then this to travel and my LT got approval to run the other route than having to go this way. Whew! thanks LT. Even tho marines controlled this area and supposedly had it locked down, units would take RPG or small arms fire, plus the ever so dangerous threat of IEDs ( improvised explosive devices ) that occured daily on these routes.

    * TAMPA MARATHON was 15+ hour run one way trip back to our base. Along with that was the **RANGER CURSE cause our convoy commander was this ex Ranger and when ever we ran with his gun crew something out of the ordinary would happen and a qucik trip would last a lifetime. ARRRGH! Lastly was the ***BAHGDAD 500 were we took the wrong turn coming up from the south and landed in southern part of Bahgdad doing laps on a highway looking for the on ramp to go back on our route. We had traffic backed up for miles as it was in thier early morn rush hour. You know what.... i wish it ended there. I have to get picks, but one of my high speed troops upon arriving to our bag farm, dropped his tanker. DAYUM!!! 2 more hours of work for me and endless MTS messages from my LT of what the fuck is going on. thanks Mr Bean, aka Tinker Bell.. lmao.. GOOD TIMES!!!
